After upgrading my WordPress installation to version 2.7, the TinyMCE editor was broken. I “googled” around like a maniac trying to find a solution to this. After a while I found out that it wasn’t the TinyMCE itself causing the problem, but instead the RB Internal Links plug-in.
Firebug reported an error, “… is not a function”, caused by a call to the function:
tinyMCE.addToLang(...);
This function call was located in the file:
[wordpress-root]/wp-content/plugins/rb-internal-links/tmce/rb-internal-links/langs/en.js
I simply commented out this function and the TinyMCE editor worked again. As far as I know the RB Internal Links plug-in still works, so I will keep the commented out function call for now.
It would be nice to have an updated version of the RB Internal Links plug-in supporting WordPress 2.7.
